When I saw Tommy singing in the recent PBS special, I reacted like a silly high school girl falling for Elvis, you sure tugged at my heart strings and after reading your guest book, looks like I'm not the only one that fell for Tommy. Seriously you guys are the best and I have loved your music since hearing your first hit. I have your music on 8 track, Cassette tape, CD and I just ordered the PBS special DVD. I hope to see you in concert someday, hope you can make it out to California. I would love to see Tommy in person!! Ha...

Every time we see you guys, the thrill is better than the time before!! Each and every one of you are singularly so very talented and together - you are simply amazing!! You are all so handsome, too (that part is from Marianna - Norm likes you guys, but let's not get crazy here!!) You were all in FINE voice that night - Tommy - smooth as silk as always; Jimmy - wow - we got two solos from you - wonderful! ; Tony - always so great and a real crowd pleaser with the funnies, too!!; and Phil ... well, he just lit up the (already thrilled) audience with his Jackie Wilson medley and then finished us off with "I Believe" - I haven't screamed that much since I saw the Beatles!! We love you guys and the wonderfully beautiful music you perform with so much enthusiasm, class-act professionalism and eye-catching/holding graceful showmanship!!
We are looking forward with great anticipation to the next time we will be so privileged to see The Duprees perform in concern live!!

Expecially dear to my heart is the song 'Take me as I am". Just watching Tony Petillo do just that small part of the song, dang, totally thrills me!!!! And you guys aren't even doing the whole song!!! I watch the entire show just to see and hear you guys sing "yes it's you, yes it's you, and I will always love you, but if you wa-want me, take me as I am"!!! I get to see this part at least 5-6 times!!! Crazy, huh,,, Your music is so sweet and pure and you can under- stand and feel what you are singing about. And all of you are so totally handsome!!!! Comments: Being a Jersey City guy (the Heights), you know you're my favorite vocal group. You guys gave my best friend, Mike Caputo (from Hoboken), and I the best Sunday nights ever. We worked the night and overnight shifts and listened to Don K. Reid and Norm N. Nite religiously. Whenever a Duprees song came on we almost came to a complete halt.
Mike passed away this past April at age 50. Now, every time I hear a Duprees tune I think of a 30 year friendship. To say thank you seems so inadequate but thanks for keeping my memories of him alive in every Duprees song.

With the snow outside I like to think back to all the fun we had at the summer concerts this year. The music just gets better and better as you are the best. Who would have thought Nancy and I would be "groupies" at our ages?

Most wanted to thank you,Tony, for the tributes to Mike A. We bring his Aunt, May, with us to the concerts now since she doesn't drive. She worked with me for 20 years before I knew she had a connection to THE DUPREES. At the Lodi Boy's Club you had her in tears. She was deeply touched. She tells us all the time of how proud Michael was of the beautiful job you all do in continuing the legacy started so long ago.

Caught part of the PBS special on WQED in Pittsburgh last Sunday. Outstanding job on "Take Me As I Am". Tommy does a superlative job on that song & I know that is one of his best. Also saw a little snipet of My Own True Love. Great job boys.

Comments: I read the email you received from your fans recently and was pleased, but not the slightest bit surprised. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. Simply wanted you to know how much I appreciate your talent and to let you know that I have been at 18 concerts in the last 20 months. My friend Michele has been there at almost every one of those concerts with me, and it has occasionally been her that has pushed me to get the tickets. Our excuse is that we are Italian, born in Jersey City and were exposed to the Duprees at a very young age, but all of the friends and family we have taken to the concerts with us agree: You are truly fabulous and exceed expectations at each new performance!
