We were married on July 13th, 1968, eighteen days before I was sent to Vietnam as an infantryman. The lyrics "Fly the ocean in a silver plane, watch the jungle when it's wet with rain. Just remember till you're home again, You belong to me" have special meaning for us. Thank You for that.

When the Beatles arrived in 1964 my friend and I, Carl Parente were working in “the two guys” record department in Jersey City and we kept the music alive by still playing the Duprees’ recordings. In 1966 my mother was diagnosed with cancer and every time that I came home from school I played the Duprees records and she loved it and it helped through her ordeal. Her favorite song was “Why don’t you believe me”. I got married this year to my wife Diane and our wedding song was “my own true love” I just want to thank you for all the great memories and let you know that The Duprees now sound better than they ever did.

I thought you were GREAT! Continued success to you and the rest of the boys. My wife and I both enjoyed it very much!Thanks for keeping this kind of music alive. It was my birthday, and I was with my husband and about 30 of my friends from Berriman Jr High School in Brooklyn, class of 1961.
